The Millers have today unveiled the name of their new facilities currently being built.

The state of the art facilities will be known as 'PARKSIDE'

Club Secretary Craig Johnson told us "With the build well into full swing, we have decided to announce the name of the ground early given the big interest currently being shown. After a slow start to the programme, the last few weeks has seen noticeable works being undertaken. Piling of the Clubhouse and Main Stand has finished, and work on the 3G main pitch has started. The outside grass pitches are currently being levelled, and should be seeded by the end of next week. The fencing contractors are due on site at the end of the month, and preliminary works on the car park will start shortly."

"It is certainly exciting times, as after many years of talking about the possibility of a move, we can see our future evolving daily in front of our very eyes. There is certainly a lot of interest. Everyone I speak to is asking when will it be ready, what are they building, what are you having. You would be surprised what our on site security cameras can pick up, with a few familiar drive-by admirers being seen !!

Johnson added, "these are special times for the club, and we look forward to the day when we open the door of our new state of the art facilities, which will be the talk of the village, and something that the people of Aveley can be proud of". We are looking at Naming Rights for the name stadium so if anyone is interested I would be happy to discuss.

The Milers have started this campaign well and currently sit 3rd in the Ryman North Division. When asked about their aspirations for this season, Johnson replied, "Justin has assembled a young squad, that is certainly entertaining to watch, with goals aplenty at both ends of the pitch. They are trying to play the game how it should be and developing all the time. As far as this season is concerned, Justin has a target and he has never failed to meet those set in previous seasons, and I have no doubt in his ability to do the same this"
