After a superb win away at Dereham Town, we get to hear from Millers Boss, Justin Gardner on his views on a win for Aveley.

"When we had to pay this game on a Thursday it was always going to be a big ask for us, as everyone associated with the club, and the players having to get the day off of work.

All week the lads have been trying to get time off or to leave early. I had a squad of fifteen but two players could not get out of work in time to meet for the pick-up point. So we went there with 13 players with two defenders on the bench, one that was yet to make his league debut!

What the thirteen players produced was second to none. We were quality and taking in all what I have said above and with the performance. It was our best performance to a man this season, we could and should’ve been 4-0 up by half time, we missed a penalty, think that’s now 12 penalties we have missed now this season.

Anyone could've got man of the match but Olu [Olliwatimilehain] was quality in his first full 90 minutes and popped up with a goal. And a special mention to Marrable who pulled off two great saves.

I keep repeating myself with our great 2016 form, apart from those two games I've mentioned before. We have been superb and we have a real togetherness, so well done to everyone making the effort yesterday.

Now we have one more game to go, against Thurrock, then the season is done, and to be fair we don’t want the season to finish because we are all really enjoying it at the moment."
