7 months ago By Jamie Manktelow

Aveley Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of left sided player Sam Mvemba from Romford.

We are delighted to announce the signing of 18 year old Sam Mvemba from fellow Bostik North side Romford FC.

After a fantastic season at this level for someone as young as Sam is we sure do have a superb player with large amount of potential with the Millers.

Mvemba, 18, made 40 appearances for Romford, mainly at left back where he helped the club climb out of the relegation place and into safety at the expense of Norwich United.

Sam joined Romford from Barking Abbey where he was named coaches player of the year in the 201/17 season.

The season just gone Sam was a mainstay of the all conquering Essex Under 18 set up last season. He's a left sided player equally at home in defence or midfield.

James Webster on the signing of Sam Mvemba: "We watched Romford several times last season even though Sam was a 17 year old he took senior football like a duck to water.

"We believe we have signed a player with massive potential who will enhance our present group."
