Millers win Fair Play Award

Aveley Football Club have been awarded by the Ryman League the Fair Play award for the 2015/16 season.

A great award for Aveley Football Club and for our manager Justin Gardner to be awarded after finishing top of the fair play table for the 2015/16 campaign.

After 46 matches the Millers finished top of the 72 Ryman Clubs after only receiving 40 yellow cards and two reds, which totalled 180 points.

In second place was both Brentwood Town and Tonbridge Angels after receiving 50 yellow cards and one red card each, totalling 210 points.

The team who finished bottom of the fair play table was Thamesmead Town after 87 yellow cards and 13 red cards, equalling 478 points in total.

Millers Boss, Justin Gardner was delighted the club have been awarded the fair play trophy.

"I just want to congratulate everyone, especially the players. I have worked hard to improve discipline since being at the club and to win this award shows we are doing just that."

"In addition, the money we were awarded was important to the club, and I'm proud of my management team and players, so thanks to all of them."
