During the first half Paul Preston was tackled and fell to the floor...

....in which landed awkwardly on the pitch in the first half and in first instances looked like a dislocated shoulder.

However since being taken away by an ambulance to Harlow Hospital and had scanned unfortunately it is worse then first feared.

Aveley physio Steve Madden explains the extent of Paul's injury- "Paul (Preston) has ruptured his deltoid, gleno humeral, acromioclavicular, coracoacromial and coracoclavicular ligaments in his shoulder.

"Paul has also popped the clavicle (Shoulder bone). Without the stability of the ligaments, the shoulder will not be able to stay in place, allowing the shoulder bone to pop out."

"He (Paul Preston) will have to see a specialist, will have to go through rehab for strengthening, flexibility and stability."

Paul Preston will be out for an estimated two to three months.

Everyone at Aveley Football Club wishes Paul the best and speedy recovery.
