Last season finish- 18th (Ryman North)

Who are they?
Cheshunt Football Club is an English association football club based in the town of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire and currently playing in the Isthmian League Division One North. The original Cheshunt F.C. was formed in or around 1880. They played at Cheshunt Cricket Club's Recreation Ground on Albury Ride and wore a black and white striped kit. The first recorded game was in 1892 against Ware.

The modern club was established in July 1946 at a public meeting in the Co-op Hall in Waltham Cross. A group of local businessmen decided to form a new club for the town after the original Cheshunt F.C. had folded in the 1930s. Local junior team Crossbrook Sports were used as the basis for the new club, retaining their Amber and Black colours.

Get up to much last season?
Cheshunt had an average season which saw them finish 18th and seven points clear from the bottom three and safe in the Ryman North. They got good results against teams they weren't really expecting to beat but a run of games without wins made the Ambers slip down the table. But managed to get enough points on the board to maintain themselves in the Ryman North.

Future plans?
Exciting times ahead might be coming for the North London side. Cheshunt were recently awarded £297,716 from the National Lottery funding from Sport England which will help improve all facilities. Mainly in which the club are installing a 3G pitch.

The clubs official website said.. "Cheshunt Football Club has been awarded £297,716 to fund the development of a new floodlit, full size 3G Artificial Grass Pitch. The AGP is part of the club’s wider development of a new 16-acre training complex at its home on Theobalds Lane that will bring first class football facilities to the club and the community."

The Chairmans views on the future of the club..
“We are delighted to have secured this investment. Grass roots football is extremely important and the new AGP will be a huge asset to the club and the local area. It will upgrade the quality of our football provision to match the quality of our coaching programmes and allow participants to feel part of a club community."

Key player?
New addition, striker, Jason Hallett showed the class and how many goals he could score for midtable Waltham Abbey last season after notching 28 which saw him get into the Ryman North team of the year. After previously worked with the Cheshunt boss he looks to better his tally of last season, which could rocket Cheshunt up the league.
