Aveley football club are delighted to announce the signing of striker Taylor Tombides.

The Millers have completed the signing of Taylor Tombides, striker, after finishing last season with Canvey Island.

Taylor is a young, hungry striker who is looking to make a big impact for the football club. He has experience playing for West Ham United, Hull City and Canvey Island.

He started out his youth career with West Ham United staying there for over four years, working his way up through the ranks.

Taylor Tombides left West Ham United in 2015, but did come back in some fashion scoring a wonderful chip over first choice keeper Adrian in Mark Noble's testimonial match. Scoring the All Star XI's fifth goal of the match at the end of March in 2016.

After leaving West Ham Taylor joined Hull City, managed by Steve Bruce at the time, and played many games for their development and Under 21 squad and scored on a few occasions for the Tigers.

Unfortunately he couldn't break through into the first team and later signed on loan for Canvey Island in the Ryman Premier League for the last month of the 2015/16 season.

But Taylor has now joined the Millers and he brings great potential and ability to our squad.

Justin Gardner couldn't hold back his delight of bringing in Taylor Tombides to the football club.

"I'm really hoping the signing can go through on time for the match on Saturday afternoon."

"There is no doubt he's a massive signing for us."

Everyone at Aveley Football Club look forward to seeing Taylor in action and wish him all the best for his time at Mill Field.

Taylor will go straight into the squad for this afternoon match at home to Cheshunt.
