Old Reds, having won their play off game against Maidenhead RFC last season, booked a National 3 (South) spot for the 2011-12 season.
Clearly they have recruited and recruited well. Looking sharpe and in great shape it would seem a tough night was in store for the Avonmouth boys.
The first half was even, with end to end play but the home side were ahead 14-5 at the break with tries from the always lively and entertaining brother partnership Grant & Craig Britton.... I mean Charlie & Billy Reynolds. Fat Owen Wilson lookalike Matt Belbin adding the extra's.

The second half was a complete different story as Avonmouth spent long periods of time camped in their own half. A huge plus for this fixture was that the boys managed to sort the lineouts out (something that was dier down at Barnstaple). Boys were hungry and aggressive. Losing 15-14 to a side one league above is something to take into the Wadebridge game and i have to say, the boys are buzzing for it.
