Avonmouth made the 350 mile round trip to Cornish club Camborne and left empty handed. Despite only being down 18-13 at the break, Avonmouth failed to maintain the same intensity they had ninth first half while Camborne exploited holes in their defence and also scored two interception tries which finished up 47-18.

Coach Andy Webb had a huge selection headache leading up to this fixture with the absence of Charlie Reynolds, Andy Taylor and Craig Britton who were attending a wedding. Kei Bergh picked up a shoulder injury in the cup fixture against Dings Crusaders on Tuesday evening and joins the injured list along with Liam Poole, Connor Power & Grant Britton. A number of players were out of position including 2nd XV prop Rich Coles who came off of the subs bench to make his 1st XV debut at flanker. Jon Tomkins made a return after several months absence due to work commitments and led from the front with impressive carries and tackling.

Avonmouth now prepare for their clash with St Austell who are fighting for league survival this coming Saturday.
