Avonmouth RFC are pleased to host a Zumba night in aid of a charity that has become well known to many of the younger generation of the Club. The event will take place on Friday 2nd March 2012. Meet at 7:30 for an 8:00pm start. All of the money raised will be donated to cardiac risk in the young. Feel free to read the statement below (taken from the Virgin London 2012 Marathon website)

Hi, Welcome to Sam and Mikes London Marathon page. We've decided to run the London Marathon in memory of my brother Andrew Neil Mogg who sadly passed away on the 14th June 2009. He was out running the day after his 22nd birthday and collapsed, it turns out he had an undiagnosed heart problem and since his passing, I’ve noticed how common this cause of death is. For that reason we have chosen to run for the CRY (cardiac risk in the young) charity who’s aim is to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac deaths by doing a number of things including screening programmes which could spot abnormalities of the heart that lead to cardiac deaths.
Andrew once said when he runs it makes him feel free. Andrew was the type of person that would do anything for anyone, he was very generous and full of life and He is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
All sponsors that are received are very much appreciated and please accept our gratitude. We will be training very hard through the winter months and will complete the marathon in April 2012.
