Last weekend saw it the turn of our youth section to take to the clubhouse for their annual presentation evening.
Every season at the club our club chairman awards the most successful team with a Team of the Year award. This award historically has stayed in the senior section but being that this season saw a dip in form for our senior sides chairman Ted Britton was on hand to present the coveted shield to the most successful team at the club, our under 9's.
The under 9's this season have won the St. Marys RFC Tournament and we’re Plate Winners at Thornbury RFC annual mini/junior tournament.
This is the first time a mini's side at Avonmouth Old Boys has won the team of the year award so a huge congratulations to the team, coaches and parents.

With another season over it was great to see the clubhouse packed with future stars.
Every mini and junior member who attended received a medal for their sterling efforts over the season, alongside this each age group awarded a player a coach’s player and player’s player award.
