The last two weeks have saw Avonmouth swoop quickly and sign three players to bolster its squad after a number of injury setbacks and work commitments.
Craig Newman (tighthead) from Oldfield RFC made a solid appearance off the bench last weekend at home for the 1st XV Vs Bideford RFC.

Fraser Leyden following an early return from Cumbria University has signed for the ‘Mouth’. Fraser is a product of Filton Academy (SGS) & our colts system where last season he played on on the wing and at fullback. This is his first senior season and were pleased to have him on board with a number of his colt team mates.

Luke after training in pre-season with Avonmouth felt his loyalties with his local club Nailsea & Backwell RFC were for the best so returned at the start of the season, following an injury and the club having a poor run of form recently he felt the time was right to have a crack at a higher standard.
Luke during pre-season displayed strong ball carrying skills & a hunger to break the gain line, he can operate at both No.8 and Centre.
