As expected Camborne gave us a stern test at Barracks Lane, the ‘Mouth started exceptionally well with a catch and drive over the visitors try line, unfortunately skipper Neil Evans was unable to ground the ball. We eventually got on the board with a penalty from Joe Wearne, this was quickly followed by a great set move from Charlie Reynolds cutting a good line to score under the posts which was converted by Joe Wearne.
The game then went a little flat with many errors and mistakes from both teams. Camborne worked their way back into the game with a converted try, the response was a stunning individual try from centre Andy Taylor again converted by Joe Wearne.
With both sets of forwards failing to get a grip it was left to the backs to show their talents. Charlie Reynolds scored his second try with some slick handling from his fellow back line and his hat trick was completed under the posts, much to the amazement of every player and spectator watching!! – the only person not able to see the blatant knock-on was the referee!!.
Camborne responded with another try converted, the ‘Mouth pressure ended with a penalty which the ever consistent Joe Wearne kicked over to secure a good win against gritty opposition who were without a few key players such as David Monkey, Deano Pascoe and Ben Priddy.

With the results mostly going our way it jumps us up to 2nd place in the table – proof that this league is wide open with 5 or 6 teams capable of winning it.
Also, a point to make is that only one team (Cleve RFC) had an away win.... Home form is essential!

appoligies for the late match report... Up to my neck in home renovations
