Match Report - Dings 2/3xv

Still unbeaten in the league after North Bristol cancel!!

3rd XV captains blog ... week 20 ... friendly fixture!!

This aint gonna be war and peace as everyone knows what happened .... no new players .... no try scorers .... no conversions, penalties or drop kicks for our team. In fact we had a chance not to be nilled but we kept attacking their line instead and I'm glad we did ... even though my body is telling me different!!

We did pick up a few injuries but it's nice to be tested every now n again and boy that was some examination!! We ain't played a game like that for a while and Dings were made to work for all their points. Yes it was their 2s and yes they won 51-0 but we got a game and we continued to take it too them at every opportunity, it just proved how well we are progressing as a squad.

The boys who showed up did themselves and the club proud Saturday, I know there was unrest in the selection and trying to raise a 4th team upset a few but it was done with good intentions and we still aim to get 4 teams out somehow this season.

This week sees us back at Barracks Lane against Broad Plain 2s, they are 2nd in the table and have won 5 from 6 games .... This is our biggest game of the season, I hope everyone has put last week behind them and are ready to take the field in some shape or form.

We have put a team out every week, we have seen players return, we have grown as a side, we have found new drinking buddies and most of all we are part of a fantastic club ..... bring on Saturday.
