In light of the recent speculation regarding a possible ground share or merger with Aylesbury United the club would like to make the following statement:
"A preliminary meeting did take place between officials of both clubs regarding a possible ground share and any further steps.
Following this meeting the committee of Aylesbury F.C. took the decision that we would not take these discussions any further.
As a committee it is our duty to do what we consider is in the best interests of the club, and on this occasion it was our decision that it would not be beneficial to the club to enter into a ground share or anything else, the primary consideration being the under 18's which we would have had to discard.
As a committee it is our job to explore every opportunity to ensure the progression of the club and in this case we do not believe that this option would help the club achieve it's targets, now or in the foreseeable future"
