Management Update

1 month ago By Admin admin

Manager Scott Reynolds gave the website an update after the defeat at Northwood and ahead of the new season.

Pre season is a process. A complete re build has done, and still is being carried out. Our performances in some games have been positive, and our performances in other games have been some want dissapponting.

The turnaround in players over a six week period has been a huge shock to me, my staff and possibly the players too. Normally at the later stages you, as a manager, would be in the position to play work with your best 16/18 and begin to fine tune things going in the first game.

For us, this simply hasn’t been the case. Due to injuries at the start, players coming / players going and unavailability throughout new have failed to pick the same squad twice and even up to last night have been included a number of trialists and fringe players whom we now have to take decisions on.

We have a very important ten days ahead, the squad will now be significantly trimmed, and a number of new additions are continually identified and approached as we get ready for the season opener at Coleshill Town on August 18th.

Hard work, patience and positivity will get us to where we need to be. However due to the complete overall it is taking longer than even I had hoped.
