Aylesbury FC 5 Mursley United 1
The Moles got back to winning ways last night with a five goal victory over Mursley of the Spartan League Division 2
Luke Cray returned to the side after sickness and with Carl Tappin away Alex Kedzierksi partnered Adam Morris in Midfield with ex Hillingdon Borough winger Mohab Madkour taking the left side of the attack.
Unsurprisingly it was FC that dominated play in the first half but without, in the early exchanges, being able to break down a spirited Mursley side. Aaron King, as ever was lively upfront with Ryan Ware sitting just behind him. It was King that made the breakthrough on twenty eight minutes when a ball played upto him saw the striker shield the ball from the Mursley defender, then a deft turn outwitted his marker, who had no option but to pull him down and King stroked the ball home from the resultant penalty.
Two minutes later a goal kick from Nick Bennion was played inside by Matt Cruse to Ryan Ware and his first time flick found King running onto goal and again he stroked it past the Mursley keeper for a two goal lead. There were further half chances for Ware and King but the home side went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The second half started exactly as the first had ended with FC in the ascendancy, Ryan Ware had a flick from a Matt Cruse cross saved at the near post. Aylesbury's third came after sixty minutes, Matt Cruse, on the left edge of the box cut inside onto his right foot, fired a shot across the keeper who could only parry into the path of Mahob Madkour, who fired home from ten yards.
Mursley pulled one back on seventy four minutes when a striker appeared to be hauled back and a penalty was awarded. Right from the re start though Aylesbury restored their two goal lead, spotting the keeper off his line, Adam Morris launched the kick off towards the Mursley goal and the ball nestled in the back of the net for an audacious fourth goal.
Aylesbury completed the scoring three minutes before time when Morris was played in on the right, he found Kyle Johnson just outside the six yard area and the striker twisted and turned before finally hitting a left shot under the keeper.
A good workout for the lads ahead of much tougher games to come.
