The first XV save the best til last.
Needing a bonus point win, Beaconsfield were not going to take the Ducks lightly after their Bucks Shield win on penalties earlier in season.
Aylesbury travelled to fellow strugglers Wallingford with a much changed team hoping their superior league position would see them through.
With confidence high Aylesbury went to Oxford to play Alchester RFC a team they had comfortably despatched earlier in the season but hopes were dashed
Aylesbury took on a Windsor side that are well in contention for winning the league this season and so Ays knew they were going to be in a tough battle.
Ays played host to Milton Keynes who have a realistic shot at winning the league this year and were in no mood to do Aylesbury any favours.
Grove had already beaten Ays twice in the league this season and so Ays were definitely under dogs and sadly Lady Luck was not on their side.
The home side started brightly and quick thinking from scrum-half Adam Moore from a tap penalty put flanker Adam Bown in under the posts, the conversion was scored by Club Captain Gary Horne.
Ays have 17 first XV players missing and the Marlborough side looked rather different with several army Fijian’s gracing the team.
Aylesbury’s injury problems and non availabilities meant that this was to be a far different team than played in the earlier fixture.
In the earlier league encounter Ays had lost at home 8 – 32, so Ays knew that they had to play to their best to come away with a result.
A Game of two halves!
There was a good feeling at Ostlers field as Ays got back to winning ways when they entertained Alchester RFC - a new side to the league.
