ARFC U7s - End Of Season Presentation

1 year ago By Scott Farlam

Amazing Season / Amazing Players / Amazing Club

Thank you all that came to the End of Season Presentation. It was great to see the survivors of the 2016-17 Season.
My time on the Microphone is always uncomfortable and quick. Unless after a few beers singing Karaoke.
I thought I would go through the awards… The most difficult task (cliché warning)… of choosing the winners… out of a TEAM OF WINNERS!

Coaches Player – Toby M.
Great commitment and overall fearless play, A tagging machine at the ARFC Festival! Happy to help others as well as being a tad competitive!
Most improved player – George K.
This was the most tricky award, so many of the players have improved immensely over the course of this season and it was very close between several players.
George found it very difficult early on, but has grown in confidence, enthusiasm and can now express himself well on the pitch with his peers.
TREDS Awards – Mylo & Ethan
These awards were also difficult to call. So many of the children have been Team Players. Both players are always polite, listen well, have a good grasp of fairness and are happy to help out without question with both coaches and teammates.
They always try hard, really enjoy themselves and generally have a very positive attitude.
Training tops/Stash awards – Emily, Toby J., Lucas, Meg & Ruben
These players were very committed to training every week. Some improved a great deal during the season, represented the club as Mascots, were very organised and communicated well with their team and generally had a smile on their faces, even in Arctic temperatures.

I honestly can pick out so many positives from this U7s group of players. Every one of them has been amazing. It has been a great season.
You can all be very proud of your children.

We hope we can continue to help in their rugby development next season.
Things will only get better! These players are the future.

The group of helpers and coaches have done a great job. Those parents that baked cakes & biscuits, provided food, Car parking duty, Pitch marshals and generally helped out, Thank you.

Hats off to he Coaching team, Andrew, Rob, Simon, Rhys, Dan, Chris and of course Tracy, Thank you for all the hard work and early starts.
If anyone would like to help out next season and join this fabulous coaching team, please let me know. After seeing the players smiling faces at the ARFC Minis Festival and Presentation you can see how rewarding it can be.

Thanks to The Club & Paul Milham for their support.

Some Photos have been uploaded throughout the season to the ARFC website. The latest ones have just been uploaded. Please feel free to have a look. Some are quite decent!

As always I am open to feedback… Positive or Negative… if you feel there are areas we can do things better, please let us know. Aylesbury RFC is your club.

We will keep you updated on Club events, Touch Rugby etc.

Enjoy the break and look forward to seeing you all again soon as U8s!
