Subs needed from 4th XV Players
A polite rant from Tony Merlini
Due to the withdrawal of Cranbrook's 3rd XV from the league Saturday's game (14th Jan 2012) is off.
A friendly game would normally have been sought but as there were not enough paid up members available this week the club decided not to look for a replacement fixture.
I really don't want to name and shame any individuals, you know who you are, but if subs are not paid in full before the next 4th XV fixture the club may consider forfeiting the game or fielding an under strength side (not much fun for those members playing).
Please get your subscription money paid to Sue behind the bar as soon as you can. If you're experiencing financial difficulties please ask to talk to Gary Short, the membership secretary, and he will endeavour to find a mutually agreeable solution.
You're not just letting yourselves or the club down but you're letting your mates down. Come on guys, some of you only owe a few quid!
It has also been pointed out that some players are not yet even registered (it's January!). If you haven't filled in a membership form (forms behind the bar) it means you can no longer play until you do! No membership form will also mean that you haven't paid your subs, again making you unavailable for selection. If you have only played a few games thus far a reduced membership fee can probably be worked out with Gary.
Let's get this sorted lads, especially as the 4th XV are having such a great season, it would be a great shame if it shudders to a halt because people are avoiding paying their subs.
