Comfortable win for AylesfordUnder 18's

Aylesford Girls Under 18 win first league fixture.

A comfortable and confident win for Aylesford Bulls against a a less experienced squad at Guildford and Camberley - who showed a great attitude and continued to play to their best ability right to the final whistle. The game was in little doubt from the kick off as the more experienced and drilled Aylesford team took control with several early tries. An outstanding performance by 15 year old Hannah playing her first game at Hooker was complimented by an overall "team" performance from the Bulls. Some significant points were made by the "new entrants" to the under 18 squad. While it "could" be daunting for the new 15 year olds to play under 18 Rugby, someone might need to explain this theory to 15 year old Lydia who tackled like a demon, dumping players with ease, Sharn at full back, running with both pace and confidence cutting lines through the Guildford defence and Florence delivering 33 points with 5 tries and 3 conversions. Not that our more experience players such as Beau and Iona were slacking, both took control of the forwards game and the scrum dominated throughout the game.
Some great individual tries probably capped by a diving score from Charlie who is tryly unstoppable from 10 metres out.
As a team we lacked real challenge last year, and while Guildford are both inexperienced (and often "raided" for talent by local London Irish team) there will be very few easy games for the Bulls 18's this season. Our next challenge is London Irish Under 18's at home. A large support for this game would be appreciated by the girls as they face what is likely to be teir biggest challenge of the season (that will be the London Irish teams biggest challenge!!!).
