To gold in quick succession in the opening five minutes for the hosts, were cancelled out by two goals early in the second half by the visitors, as they team shared the points at the P M C stadium on Saturday.

Rovers got of to a flying start and took the lead in the 3rd minute when Ashton Leigh fired a free kick post the wall and keeper Sean Obrien , from outside the box.

Just two minutes later and the lead was double, with Leigh this time goal provider, as his fee kick was headed home by Shane Cornish.

Callum Dart should have increased the home sides lead after Jason Parish had broke down the wing no pulled the ball back into his path, only for Dart to fire his effort the wrong side of the woodwork.

The visitors first real threat came when Chad Abrams broke down the left and his cross was cut out by Cameron Scott, before being swept clear.

Just before the break Scott found Tommy Tierney with a ball out wide on the left and although he crossed deep into the box, Parish was just unable to connect at the far post.

H/T 2-0

Just as Rovers had started like an express train in the first half, the visitors clearly having been read the riot act, returned more determined in the second period.

With just eight minutes of the second half gone and they were only one behind when Shaun Dallimore's long ball over the top, bounced away from Corey Burns and invitingly into the path of Sam Hamilton, who fired across Scott into the far corner.

Four minutes later no the sides were level, when Rovers failed to deal with a long throw, which was flicked on before Dallimore claimed the last touch to direct they'll into the empty net.

Steve Leigh made a double change minutes later bringing on George Burgess and Karel Kayembe to replace Callum Dart and Cornish, in the hope that he could breath some new life into the Rovers side.

However it was still the visitors who looked the more likelier of the two sides to go on and win the game and Rovers were thankful that Hamilton's effort after he broke clear from a Baffins corner failed to really test Scott.

Late in the game and Daniel Vickers sent a long range effort whizzing past Scott's post, with the keeper at one stage looking a little worried.

F/T 2-2

Baffins:- Scott, Burns, Tierney, Cornish, A Leigh, Saunders, T Leigh, Wedlake, Parish, Dart, Taw

Subs:- Kayembe, Root, Burgess, Chizhande, Moret

Afterwards an unhappy Steve Leigh said "He was disappointed that having taken a two nil lead the side didn't then work either as individuals or as a team. it was like we scored the two golds and thought that was it. Our work rate today was poor and I thought we were lucky to escape with a draw. As a manager you sometimes have to accept bad performances, however what you can't accept is a lack of effort. We lacked work rate and desire and were not prepared to do the ugly parts of the game today, they will need to ensure things improve for Tuesday"
