Two penalties, one converted and one missed, a late red card for the visitors and Rovers name in the hat for the draw on Monday for the next round of the F A Vase.

Baffins found the going hard in the opening forty five minutes playing against the wind and probably the best side that have visited the PMC Stadium so far this season.

The visitors had the better of the early ball and Tony Male had to race from his line to clear with Stephan Neronski breaking clear.

A long throw from Ron Frost then caused confusion in the Baffins rearguard when flicked on by Steve Flynn, before being cleared by Shane Cornish.

Rovers first real attack saw them awarded a penalty when Jason Parish was brought down inside the box by Charlie Langston.

Although Ashton Leigh got the better of keeper Sam Jones, he could only watch in disbelief as his spot kick found the base of the post and was cleared.

To make matters worse Rovers found themselves a goal down in the 28th minute with the visitors playing a ball down the left for Neronski, who held of the challenge of Corey Burns, before outpacing Ashton Leigh and drilling a low effort past Male.

Ten minutes later and Neronski doubled the visitors lead, having been found by Langston, he cut inside from the wing and unleashed an unstoppable effort from outside the box past the despairing diving Male.

Minutes later and Male was again in the action, this time denying Mickey Finch after the striker was first to reach a cross from the right from Flynn.

Rovers were awarded their second penalty late in the first half when Cornish was crudely stopped in his tracks, having down well to get in the box to reach a cross from Robbie Taw.

Having dusted himself down, Cornish stepped up to rifle his spot kick straight down the middle past Jones and into the roof of the net in the 43rd minute.

H / T 1 -2

With just two minutes of the second half gone and Rovers were level when Callum Dart volleyed home at the far post, after being first to reach a deep cross from Taw.

Minutes later and Dart became the provider as he lifted a ball over the top for substitute Tyler Moret, however he could only aim his effort straight at Jones.

Meanwhile at the other end Frost sent an effort just the wrong side of the post from outside the box, followed by Chris Spears lifting an effort from a Fawzi Saadi free kick over the top.

Yet another set piece saw Saadi find Flynn at the far post and his effort under pressure, was rifled into the side netting.

Parish gave Rovers the lead in the 69th minute when he raced clear of the visitors defence and having brought the bal. under control, angled a powerful drive past Jones and into the far corner.

Minutes later and Parish was found in the box by Taw and having done well to get his head to the ball, he see his effort well saved by Jones.

At the other end the long throw of Frost again caused problems for the hosts and they were fortunate that Flynn rifled over the top.

With the visitors desperately trying to get back in the game they were dealt a killer blow when Frost clashed with Dart just in front of the dugouts and was given a straight red by referee Anthony Cross.
