After last Saturday's postponement the Rovers returned to league action and made the short journey away to Hamble Club and returned with all three points, after a solid performance.

With Rovers looking to play their neat flowing football they were more than a match for the hosts long, direct style of play and took a slender goal lead into the half time break.

The second half saw two more goals and another three points in the bag and perhaps gave the visiting spies from Cray Valley something to think about, before their impending F A Vase tie early in January.

Rovers took the lead in the 18th minute when Jason Parish was allowed space in behind and having crossed from the right to the left, he was in the centre of goal to head home the return ball from Dale Mason.

With home keeper Brad Snelling the busy of the two, he did well to grab a Tommy Tierney effort at the second attempt, having parried his initial effort.

Minutes later and Snelling was again involved, this time preventing Fadel Seibou reaching a delightful chipped ball into the box from the impressive Mason.

Ashton Leigh the tested the home defence with a free kick which fizzed across the face of goal, before being deflected wide and then he sent in a free kick, which deflected of the wall and wide.

H/T 0-1

It took just ten minutes of the second period before Rovers lead was doubled with Tyler Yates claiming the last touch. Having been awarded a free kick, Leigh quickly found Parish out wide and his cross was chested past Snelling and squeezed home at the near post.

Yates thought he had Rovers third and his second midway through the half, when he turned home a low drilled cross fromLeigh, only to be ruled out the assistants flag.

Connor Saunders then found Mason out wide with an angled ball in behind and the midfielder advanced and cut inside before unleashing a drive that thumped the post, with Snelling well and truly beaten.

Mason was to however have the last word when he scored Rovers third with virtually the last kick off the game, when he fired home a spot kick into the bottom left corner past the despairing Snelling.
