Baildon 13 - 10 Sheffield Medicals
Baildon registered their 14th consecutive league win which secured their target of third place in the league with an excellent defensive display.
The Jenny Laners scored all their points inside 20 minutes of the start through a try from Pete Lowth who latched on to a short pass following an excellent break by stand-off Nicky Lister. Lister's conversion followed by two well-struck penalties on 15 and 20 minutes put his side in the driving seat but Medics hit back with a penalty on 23 minutes followed by a converted interception try on 29 minutes.
A scoreless second half saw the Jenny Laners pinned in their own half for long periods and in the end it was Baildon's defensive qualities and fitness which saw them through and kept intact a home unbeaten record which stretches back to October.
