Baldock Town will travel to London Colney in the First Round Proper of the FA Vase following their 4-3 win over Long Melford on Saturday.

Tom Oram scored twice, whilst Scott Rennie and Lee Harman were also on target as Town progressed from a thrilling tie with their Eastern Counties League opponents at Top Field.

London Colney, who currently sit mid-table in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, booked their place in the next round with a 2-1 victory at Essex Senior League Stansted on Saturday.

The two clubs have never met in a competitive fixture since Town's re-formation, but Colney did run out 3-1 winners in a friendly before the start of last season.

Scott Grant's side will be bidding to reach the Second Round Proper for the first time in their history after falling at the First Round stage to Berkhamsted last season.

The tie will take place on Saturday 1st November - 3pm kick off at Cotlandswick. Town's progress in the FA Vase means that their scheduled league meeting with Welwyn Garden City on that afternoon will now be played on Wednesday 26th November.
