And the rains came..

3 months ago By Alan Millar

Wet weather fails to dampen spirits

What a wet Saturday that was, the initial mini soccer training went ahead but but due to a number of lads being called up to older teams and the torrential rain, we cancelled the second session. Well at least there was some cup football ⚽️
Well done to the U12s who began the defence of their National crown with a 5-1 cup victory over Coleraine. Their fellow SBYL under 12s exited the trophy as did the SBYL under 14s, but a good experience for all these lads.
The National League u14s were prep’d and ready to go at a soggy Showgrounds but their opponents were unable to make it, hopefully the sky blues will progress.?
At Smithfield the 13's lost out narrowly to Portadown in a thriller while in Coleraine there were some notable performances from our younger sides, special mention to the under 9 development team (pic) , six goals and a super turnaround for this wee group who have improved week on week from the start of the season. Well done coaches and boys!!
