The Mini Soccer School will open this Saturday 5th September 2015
Originally held in Cullybackey High School Gym each Tuesday evening under the guidance of John Evans and David Bell the club decided to relocate to Ballymena Showgrounds in 2000 so that all practices could be held on grass.
Stanley Galbraith then took charge of this section for a number of years and it is now ran by Michael Watterson. The Mini Soccer School has continued to thrive and is a recognised Football Development Centre by the IFA.
It has produced lots of talented players for the various teams and many have already went on to win a Co Antrim Shield Medal (2012) and a Harry Caven Youth Cup Medal (2009). Others have played in the Milk Cup and some are now regulars in the Ballymena United First, Reserve and Youth Teams.
Two sessions are held each Saturday morning aided by his fellow coaches; Davy Douglas, Rhona McCarrison, Boyd Black, Lee Megaw, Andrew Schnell, Nicky Blair, Connor Ross, Macauley Cairns, Adam Gordon, Gareth Logan, Darren Archer and Callum McCarrison.
Our philosophy is to give everyone the opportunity to participate irrespective of talent and for all participents to develop to their full potential in a fun and friendly environment.
All new players welcome. Contact a member of staff below or feel free to turn up at a training session.
