Christmas Jumper Day 2018 & Charity Foodbank Collection

2 weeks ago By Ruth Hornby

Jumpers at ready on December 15th.

Our home league match against Lancaster City Saturday 15 December is also our Charity Christmas Jumper Day 2018.

Fans are encouraged to dig out their favourite festive jumper and give it an outing at the match.

Kick off is 3pm and our clubhouse will be open from 1pm offering the usual refreshments along with mulled wine and mulled cider for those wanting a festive tipple.

For this year's charity collection we are supporting Left In Preston's Food bank appeal, which is an appeal for donations to stock Preston's food banks over the festive period.

From today (23 November) until 'Jumper Day" (15 December), the club is acting as an official drop off point for donations for the appeal and supporters can drop off donations in the clubhouse during normal opening hours.

The food banks are after things in a tin or packet and it must be long dated – please note that long dated food is a necessity as this is for over the Christmas period.

Tinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce
Lentils, beans and pulses
Tinned meat
Tinned vegetables
Tinned fruit
UHT milk

We would also like to ask for Christmas crackers and Children’s Advent calendars if that is at all possible.

All donations will be very gratefully received.
