I am going to work closely with Neil during the season to try and get as much team information and updates as I can for the fans. I want to make this a regular slot on the website as I like to believe that without the fans we wouldn’t have a club and they deserve to be the first to find out about their teams news.
After a brief chat with him this evening Neil has confirmed that player’s player of the year Luke Atherton has committed his future to Bamber Bridge and signed a contract and will remain as club captain.
He has also told me that fans player of the year Alistair Waddecar and managers player of the year Lee Dovey, along with all of last year’s squad, have agreed to sign for the forthcoming season.
Over the next couple of weeks Neil and his assistant Neil Reynolds will be speaking to several targets and are very hopeful that these will be added to their squad.
As for the management, last season’s reserve team assistant manager Stuart Barton has joined the coaching staff and will work closely with the goalkeepers throughout the upcoming season.
Crowie has said “Even though the season has pretty much just ended my batteries are fully recharged and I cannot wait for pre-season to start”.
