Following the success of Tuesdays pre-season fixture, the PNE South Ribble Supporters’ Group have arranged a legends match between the 2 sides

The match, scheduled for Sunday 2nd August, is to be held at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, Bamber Bridge, with a 2pm kick off.

This year, the South Ribble Supporters’ Group will be raising money for three very deserving charities with local influences; the Gary Parkinson Trust, Derian House and Baby Beat.

There is also a chance for you to actually participate in the match with some of your footballing heroes; the group offering six lucky fans a chance to play for a minimum of 15 minutes in the match for a donation of £25.

If you are interested in participating, then please email pnesouthribble@gmail.com.

Mascots are also requested to accompany the players onto the pitch, so the first 11 people to email pnesouthribble@gmail.com will secure a place – you do not have to pay for a mascot place, although a charitable donation would be extremely welcome.

In addition to the big game, there will be a post-match forum with some of the players and a raffle; shirts worn and signed by the players on the day offered as prizes.

The bar will be open along with the usual burger stand, and there will also be a sweet stall from Grandad Jim's.

Entry to the match is priced as follows:
Adults - £5
Students and OAP's - £3
5-16yrs - £1
U5's - Free

Details of who will be featuring in the match will be announced shortly on the PNE South Ribble Group website, but in the meantime please check out Gary Parkinson Trust, Derian House and Baby Beat online for more information on these three wonderful charities.
