Brig announce the departure of assistant manager Simon Wiles.

I would like to thank everyone connected to the club for their support, thank all the players for their commitment and efforts towards helping us achieve our recent success at this special club.

The club have have this morning announced that assistant manager Simon Wiles is leaving Bamber Bridge FC to take up a new coaching role with Fleetwood Town Under 18s.

Ex Blackpool professional Wiles joined Brig as a player in 2014 from Salford City. The following year he joined club's coaching staff under Neil Crowe and Neil Reynolds, taking the role of first team coach. In December 2016 he was promoted to assistant manager.

In a statement about his departure Wilesy said:

"It’s been some journey, first signing as a player, to then first team coach and most recently assistant manager, all of which wouldn’t of been possible if Crowey hadn’t of brought me to the club. The recent success of winning the league cup and gaining promotion has been a remarkable achievement for everyone connected to the club and I can’t speak highly enough of the manager and the professional environment in which he has created.

The club are entering a very exciting time with Reno and especially moving into the EvoStik Prem I wish him and all the staff all the very best moving forward.

I would like to thank everyone connected to the club for their support, thank all the players for their commitment and efforts towards helping us achieve our recent success at this special club.
