It isn’t often fans get to sit down with their club’s management team and ask as many questions as they please, but the Brig supporters got that chance on Thursday night.

During the two-hour session, thrown at the pair were questions on everything from signings, the season so far, their relationship, Brig’s 1000 club, the academy, away trips and how Micky felt to be placed on the top of the club’s Christmas tree...

Micky took over the reigns at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium towards the back end of October, and gave his thoughts on how things have gone.

“I think it’s gone well,” he said “It’s probably gone better than I thought it would if I’m honest, the way everyone at the club has acted has filled me with optimism.

“I just never realised I’d be on the phone as much as I am!”

Neil Crowe has played and managed the club, he’s been the Director of Football but following Micky’s appointment he re-joined the touchline alongside his longtime friend.

“We’ve been up against it with injuries and outgoings,” said Crowey. “That said, it’s certainly going okay and the lads are doing really well so far.

“Nobody has shown us up in any game and we’ve shown we are good enough to compete.”

The pair also admitted that their bond is the reason they could not turn down the chance that was presented to them just over a month ago.

In doing so Micky assembled his own management team and was full of praise for assistant Joe Collins, as well as the players who have given everything for him since his appointment.

“Me and Crowey are working brilliantly,” said Micky T. “It was always going to, we wouldn’t be sat here today without each other.

“Joe has a great background and footballing knowledge, he’s also a top coach and it’s great to have him here.

“When you see the squad together you know they’re all in it as one. They’re a unit and all work so hard for each other. When you’ve got that you’ve always got a chance in every game.

It’s the dream job for Micky T, who claimed his first league win at Buxton last time out.

“We gave everything we possibly could at Buxton and we couldn’t have asked for more off them.

“This is the pinnacle for me, I call Bamber Bridge FC my home and I’ve always wanted to do this.

“I want to make everyone at the club proud.”

Micky T and Neil also gave an update on Regan Linney’s injury situation.

“He’s on his way back and he’s doing well.” said Crowey.

“We don’t want to rush him back,” assured Taylor. “We know he’s a real talent and both of us are really looking forward to working closely with him again when he’s back.

The evening went down a real success and all inside the clubhouse left in positive spirits, ahead of Saturday's visit of Stalybridge Celtic where Brig ran out 3-0 winners.
