Code of Conduct
1.Disciplinary matters shall in the first Instance be dealt with by the Organisation under whose jurisdiction the matches are played be it national, regional or district. E.g. North West Counties, BARLA.
2.In the case of decisions made by Leagues, any person found guilty of misconduct or other offences of a disciplinary nature do have the right of appeal to a BARLA Disciplinary Appeals Committee as long as a certain criteria is met.
3.Upon hearing of any decisions made regarding a disciplinary procedure held with the relevant Organisation, BBARLFC will inform the player or person to whom it regards all details they have received, including any suspensions or fines incurred.
4.BBARLFC three man disciplinary sub committee will then meet and decide if any costs incurred for the club should be passed on to the offending player or persons, if the sub committee decides that the player should be passed on any expenses incurred then it will inform the player and the player will then have the right to a personal hearing( see rule 5 .)
(4.1) BBARLFC have full power to deal with all players or persons without the need of a match official’s report if they have committed an act or made any statement either verbally or in writing or been responsible for conduct, continuing misconduct or any matter which in the opinion of the Committee is considered to be unsporting, insulting or improper behaviour or likely to bring the club into disrepute. Any act, statement, conduct or matter which is discriminatory by reason of sex, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or disability shall constitute behaviour in contravention of this clause.
(4.2) BBARLFC have full power to expel, suspend and/or fine any player, official or any other person found guilty of misconduct and/or any breach of the rules and order them to meet any costs incurred.
5.On receiving news of any suspension/fine the reported player or person may request a personal hearing and bring witnesses in their own defence, send a written statement, or provide unedited video tape evidence providing application is received by the BBARLFC Secretary within seven days of the received fine/suspension
6.At all discipline hearings, three members, one who will act as Chair, and one who will act as Secretary shall form a quorum.
7.The disciplinary sub committee will be made up of the existing first team coach, the club secretary or chairman and the existing players representative selected at a previous AGM.
8.A player who has been fined would be expected to pay the fine within 28 days dependent on personal circumstances, failure to pay within the agreed time frame could result in the player not being allowed to play in BBARLFC matches until payment is received.
