Bamber Bridge ARLFC confirm the new coaching set up and pre season training dates.

Bamber Bridge ARLFC can confirm that former club captain and long time servant of the club Mr Damian Duncan will take over the role of open age coach when pre season training begins on Saturday 14th January 2012.

Lee Sumner has decided to step down from his day to day role of coaching the open age team, as head coach he will still monitor all aspects of coaching within the club and in particular concentrate more of his efforts into developing the Bamber Bridge Bulldog players and coaches whilst still supporting Damian if and when required. He will also make sure all coaches are up to date with there qualifications and are attending courses if and when neccessary to develop their coaching skills to the benefit of the club.

Damian begins his first senior coaching role with the total support of everyone involved and brings to the job a wealth of experience of playing in the North West Amateur Leagues he has worked closely with Lee over the last 12 months to develop the current set of players, a highlight of which was our first trophy for many years when we won the Merit League Championship back in the summer.

Mark Clegg will also remain in his role of assistant coach and again will be there to support Damian in his new role, any further announcements will be made regarding training and the coaching set up in due course.
