Banbury Rugby Club's Schools and Community Outreach Program
At Banbury Rugby Club we believe that sport, and rugby in particular, can improve peoples lives in all sorts of wonderful ways. For almost 90 years the club has offered people of all ages in Banbury and the wider area the chance to watch, play and get involved.
We have teams in every age group from Under 6 through to Under 18s (Colts) and upwards to Seniors. On any given Sunday during the season you could find 400+ children, young people and adults on our fantastic pitches just off the Oxford Road in Bodicote.
As momentum builds towards the Rugby World Cup in 2015, Banbury Rugby Club is now offering a program of coaching and support to local schools. Our male and female community coaches are fully RFU qualified and have experience of teaching and coaching girls and boys of all ages from Under 6 to Under 13.
From September 2014, we can visit schools to work alongside teachers to support their professional development, introduce children to the game and improve their core skills. We also offer the club’s facilities for schools rugby tournaments and can coordinate all the arrangements for you.
