Banbury Under 13s were crowned County Champions for the fourth successive year as they overcame Chinnor 27-10 in a hard fought final at Grove RFC.

With space at a premium, it took a clever break from fly half Toby Parker to open the scoring following a tense start. After Chinnor had reduced the arrears via a penalty, Banbury extended their lead through Harry Horrocks after good work by scrum half Nick Dawkins.

The second half saw a Chinnor fight back as they brought the scores back to 15-10 through a converted try, but this just seemed to kick start Banbury into further action. Lovely interplay in the backs resulted in a try for winger Tom Chesser and there were further scores from No 8 Max Bending and winger Harry Gardner as Banbury confirmed their position as the standout squad in the County at this age group.

The winning squad are pictured below with the trophy.
