We had a great training session on Sunday morning, starting off with a passing drill to get us all warmed up and ready to play. We spilt into two groups, one practising scrums and the other working on game play and passing. The forwards worked on their binding techniques and had great fun pushing the scrum machine! After all that, we were reunited to perfect our tackling techniques, using both each other and tackle bags as worthy opponents. After a quick drill to help us with finding space, we had a tackling competition between the older and younger girls. The rules are quite simple: two teams compete by running and tackling their respective tackle bags to see who can get it to a certain point the fastest. It was a close finish with the younger girls taking the win, much to the dismay of the older ones (who still stand by the fact our bag was heavier so its harder!) Well done everyone, especially the new girls how definitely rose to the challenge and I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning.
