“Banbury United, clearly assisted by the FA recognition of our structure through the 2011 Charter Club of the Year award, can confirm that they have been approached by a sporting organisation who have offered their support in strengthening the current club structure and operation together our ability to retain senior football at the highest possible level for the town.

Once negotiations can be concluded, dedicated resource will be made available to complement our current volunteer operation in a number of areas such as links with local education establishments, club marketing, fund raising, football coaching, player procurement and development. Long term BUFC commitment to the “career” pathway for our young members will also be consolidated as we attempt to achieve FA community club charter status in 2012.

A further update will be communicated once the current process has been completed and final agreement reached.”
