Saturday 18th October saw Bancroft RFC u10s make the trip
to Saracens Allianz Park for their annual ALLIANZ CUP competition, we travelled with the 8 players needed for a team but no subs.
The boys were drawn in pool "A" against some very tuff teams. Tunbridge Wells, Aylesford Bulls, Sevenoaks, Old Colfeians and Ealing.
We started off a little slowly in 1st game and lost. The next 4 games the boy's played there socks off, taking some very hard knocks. Getting up and playing it off as we had no subs.
The end off the day we finished bottom of the group with the wooden spoon, lost all 5 games, yet the team still came off holding their heads up if somewhat battered. Great job guys.
No one could have asked any more from the 8 boy's, playing clubs with squads of 40 to 50 players. They received some great compliments from the other teams coaches how the boy's put a great fight for only being a small squad. So no individual man of the match as they were all terrific so we awarded it to the whole team.
