The funeral arrangements have just been confirmed with the service taking place at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church at 9:30am on Saturday, followed by the interment at Clandeboye cemetery at 11:00am. Refreshments will be available at Clandeboye Lodge Hotel afterwards.

Gavin unfortunately lost his life whilst out cycling on Tuesday when a car struck both him and other cyclists along the carriageway beside Conlig.

Gavin was a keen member of North Down Cycle Club and, while not a member of Bangor Rugby Club, he regularly attended and supported Upritchard Park events with club stalwart Joanne Ryans. Having suffered the sudden loss of her husband Graeme several years ago, our thoughts and condolences go especially to Joanne and her family at this most difficult and upsetting time.
