NEW TRAINING VENUE
Senior training continues this Thursday at ST MODANS HIGH SCHOOL. Training is from 8-9:30pm every Thursday night until further notice. New players are always made welcome, regardless of ability, and the atmosphere is friendly and inclusive. Contact John Dawson (e) clubcaptain@bannockburnrfc.co.uk to find out more.
I would recommend players training to bring either trainers or moulded boots as it is astroturf not astrograss we are training on. There will be a charge of £2 per player but the bigger the attendance the less it costs.
BIG WIN AT MONTROSE
Last Saturday Bannockburn's Senior XV made the long trip north to face last season's champions Montrose in round 4 off their league campaign. The squad travelled showing a strength and depth not seen at Bannockburn for a number of seasons now, missing many key players (10 in total) including Scott 'Rambo' McGown, Nick Cram, Guy Harewood and Alan Greenwood. Bannockburn handed debuts to Luca ‘Tex’ Seale, Gregor Queen and Ryan McCrae who all joined the club last week. Bannockburn also welcomed back Mark 'Sparky' Wetton from his Canadian exploits along with Phillip Chauke who has returned from South Africa.
Bannockburn started where they left off against Arbroath in the previous fixture running in eleven (11) tries and keeping the score at naught to come away with an impressive 67-0 victory away from home. It was Bannockburn first win on the road for two season and probably the best result on the road in the club's history??? Anyone who can remember a bigger away win should log on to the forum at http://www.bannockburnrfc.co.uk/forum/ and tell us about it.
A special mention has to go to the debutants who all contributed greatly to the victory and and to Ryan McCrae who scored twice on his first ever game of rugby. Captain John Dawson continued his form by racking up an impressive 32 point haul to add to his 21 point haul he had against Arbroath.

'BURN BOYS AIM FOR THREE-IN-A-ROW
This Saturday Bannockburn will hope to keep their winning form going when they travel to Dundee to face Stobswell. Kick-off at Downfield Park is at 3pm. The seniors would appreciate a travelling support. For further information please contact John Dawson (m) 07818 201 101
A little reminder to everyone that the club Speaker's Night dinner will be held at McQs on Friday 18th November. Final details TBC so watch the website for further details. If your interested in taking a table for the event please contact John Dawson (m) 07818 201 101 (e) clubcaptain@bannockburnrfc.co.uk
