First Half "Horror Show" !!
A nightmare 45 minutes in the first half of this latest defeat ensured that Bardon came away from Welby Lane with nothing.
The display in the opening period was simply not good enough , and was embarrasing for everyone concerned with the club.
Whilst we are realistic enough to know that we are not going to win every game of football we play , we expect to compete , but for the first 45 minutes against Holwell we did not do that.
Three substitutions at half time made a difference and the second half effort was more in line with what is expected from players at the club.
Bardon dominated the second half but turning round a 4-0 half time score line was far to much , although if 50% of the desire and commitment shown in the second half had been there in the first period , then perhaps the game would not have been out of reach at the break.
If anything is to be salvaged from this season , then it has to start on Wednesday night when a semi-final place is up for grabs in the League Cup.
