About as good as Karius!
Below par Bare turned over by Dyson and BLS.
After losing the toss Bare were asked to bowl in sunny but cloudy conditions. With the ball moving and seaming around from an accurate opening spell from Oz and White (2/15) it wasn't until the 14th over when BLS passed a run an over. Chances were spilt but eventually taken at slip but Anderton (19) battled though until a corker from Shweppsy. After bowling unchanged and conceding 15 runs from 12 overs it was the turn of Albon (2/36) to get in on the act removing Carter (16) and removing Dyson (12) with a catch from Janet! Lust blows from Holland (21) and Metcalfe (13) saw BLS building steady partnerships. Cook (3/39) removing both. With Dukes (12) carrying his bat, 112 was a par score, now for a Cookie tea!
After Dyson struck in his first over. Oz (28) battled back until he played one shot too many off Morgan (3/44). It then was the Dyson show as his swing and pace ripped through a sorry Bare team with the only resilience coming from Moorhouse (13 not out). Metcalfe gaining 4 victims behind the stumps, and Dyson ending up with an incredible 7 for 10 off his 9 overs. 62 all out saw Bare in a sorry state with the highlight been Craig trying to kill the umpire with one of his 'deliveries!' Shireshead 'A' away on Bank Holiday Monday and a good debut and prospect from junior Cameron Bancroft too! Right now to wallow in self pity and endure been interrupted watching TV!
