Barking & Dagenham Bulldogs 62 v 24 Eastern Rhinos
The Bulldogs un 18’s entertained the rhinos this week and did not disappoint running in 11 tries. The bulldogs were on the attack from the off and worked there way up field to within striking distance of the eastern line allowing Connor O’toole to score converted by Matt Rannigan for a 6-0 score line. With the wind at there backs eastern started to use there sets of six to put pressure on the dogs and were rewarded when they scored a converted try for a 6-6 score. Now it was game on and both teams were completing there sets to good effect and it was the Bulldogs who made the most of there possession with a try from Rannigan converted by himself for 12-6 . The bulldogs now started to up the tempo and a try from Jon lyme converted by Rannigan 18-6 the score moved on to 28-6 with tries from Mitchell Sinfield and Matt rannigan with the latter converted by Rannigan . With half time approaching James hogg added another try for a half time score of 32-6 to the Bulldogs. Now running with the wind Matt Rannigan added another try and conversion for a 38-6 margin but this was reduced as the rhinos had there best spell of the game scoring two converted tries to bring the score back to 38-18 . The bulldogs started to play a more open game and were rewarded when Lewis Brunger went over with the extras from Rannigan it was 44-18 but all credit to the Rhinos who kept going and scored another converted try 44-24 . Jon Lyme was next on the score board with the extras from Josh Townsend the score moved on to 50-24 with the game won the Bulldogs ran in another two converted tries from Liam Clarke and Connor O’Toole both converted by Rannigan for a final score line of 62 -24 an excellent result for the Bulldogs
