Barkingside fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Takeley on Monday night, in Michael Walther's final game in charge of the club.
A second-half strike just after the hour-mark was enough to seal the points for Marc Das' visitors.
Former Romford director of football Alex Goldstone has been appointed as the Sky Blues interim manager until the end of the season.
Alex's first game in charge of the Sky Blues will be on Saturday away at Southend Manor. That match at Southchurch Park will kick-off at 3pm.
