Essex Senior League 2018/19 Constitution

The Essex Senior League constitution for 2018/19 has been announced.

Firstly Waltham Forest have changed their name to Walthamstow. The Essex County Football Association approved the club’s name change, with the plans coinciding with its 150th anniversary,

The Provisional constitution was then approved of the following 20 ESL clubs:

Barkingside
Clapton
Enfield 1893
FC Romania
Hoddesdon Town
Hullbridge Sports
Ilford
Redbridge
Saffron Walden Town
Sawbridgeworth Town
Southend Manor
Sporting Bengal United
St Margaretsbury
Stansted
Stanway Rovers
Takeley
Tower Hamlets
Walthamstow
West Essex
Woodford Town 2017

There are four new teams to the ESL for next season.

Hoddesdon Town and St Margaretsbury have transferred over from the Spartan South Midlands League. Last season they finished 12th and 16th respectively in the Premier Division.

Saffron Walden Town and Stanway Rovers have transferred over from the (Thurlow Nunn) Eastern Counties League. Last season they finished 11th and 8th respectively in the Premier Division.

The League fixtures will be announced in due course.
