Magnificent work throughout the park from keeper to striker culminated in a great strike by George Southerns from a pass from Shane Jones; the pair worked magnificently up front. Carwyn Jones and Rob Murfet were hungry for the ball in midfield and, at times, showed better skill than their opponents.
As the second half wore on, Aberystwyth began to win more ball and territory but Jonno Harrison and Steve Bratt in defence always seemed to get to the dangerous cross first. Two headed goals at the far post gave Aberystwyth the win but it was a magnificent performance in temperatures of 27 degrees.
