Even the reintroduction of Tom Hughes into his usual seat in the stand was not enough for Barmouth to earn points in the sunshine

Tom has to learn that coaching from the side-lines, whilst he may be making the correct call, may sometimes conflict with what the manager is trying to achieve. Gaps didn't open up in the defence as a result of this however, more it was a lack of cover in defence that allowed Glantraeth's Mathew Lock the space in Barmouth's defence through to score Glantraeth's first on 67 minutes.
Barmouth battled through to the end and had their best chances in the final quarter with perhaps the best chance falling to Shane Jones 10 yards out.
Carwyn Jones had a magnificent header with 10 minutes to go that could have brought the score back to 1-1.
Glantraeth's second came as Barmouth threw everything forward in the hope of that equaliser.
Great game, wonderful afternoon. Hope Paul Lewis recovers from a knock he received in the first half to that old injury.

Pics to follow.
