It started off with action at both ends on a pitch which started out showing no signs of the recent rains but Llanberis quickly went ahead on 6 minutes after the ball bobbled round Barmouth's 6 yard box with David Jones finally putting the ball away from close range - 1-0 to Llanberis.
Within the next 5 minutes a Ryan Jones header, a header from George Sutherns and a freekick from Joe Jones on the edge of the box all showed that Barmouth were in the game. Llanberis were lucky not to go 2-0 after 18 minutes after a poor backpass to Tyler French in the Barmouth goal. As the surface began to cut up, these backpasses to French became increasingly hard to play.
Again poor defending on 25 minutes allowed Llanberis to play across goal from French's right hand post for Llion Jones to net again from close range.
As the second half proceeded the game became a tetchy affair and Llanberis went down to 10 men and it looked like there was hope for a comeback. Llanberis finally put the result beyond doubt as French had no choice but to come out and Gavin Edwards put a delightful chip past him for 3-0.
